Abstract and workshop submission will close on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at 12 pm (noon) Atlantic Time (GMT-4).
Abstract and Workshop Acceptance Notifications
March 18, 2026
Acceptance notifications will be sent out on Wednesday, March 18, 2026.
Early Bird Registration Deadline
June 24, 2026
Early bird registration deadline is end of day Wednesday, June 24, 2026. After June 24, standard rates will apply.
Pre-Conference Workshop – Day 1
October 17, 2026
Pre-conference workshops begin on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at 8:30 am in the Dr. Pedro Rosselló González Puerto Rico Convention Center.

Welcome Celebration

There will be a welcome celebration for SMM2026 on the evening of October 18, 2026. Stay tuned—more details about the event will be shared soon!
Conference – Day 1
October 19, 2026
The conference will begin with an official opening and welcome by the SMM President and SMM2026 Co-Chairs. It will take place at the Dr. Pedro Rosselló González Puerto Rico Convention Center, running from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Conference – Day 2
October 20, 2026
Day two of the conference continues in the Dr. Pedro Rosselló González Puerto Rico Convention Center from 9 am to 7:30 pm.
Conference – Day 3
October 21, 2026
Day three of the conference continues in the Dr. Pedro Rosselló González Puerto Rico Convention Center from 9 am to 5:30 pm.
Conference – Day 4
October 22, 2026
Day four of the conference continues in the Dr. Pedro Rosselló González Puerto Rico Convention Center from 9 am to 7:30 pm.
Conference – Day 5
October 23, 2026
The final day of the conference will feature presentations continuing at the Dr. Pedro Rosselló González Puerto Rico Convention Center from 9 am to 5 pm. The Closing Ceremony and Conference Awards will take place from 1:30 to 3:30 pm. The SMM AGM will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 pm.
